Most of my maternity sessions happen in the last hour before sunset, usually at Baylands or Shoreline, sometimes down at the coast when the fog cooperates. I shoot outdoors year-round because Bay Area light in that window is worth the drive and the parking situation.


You do not need to know how to pose. Nobody does. I will tell you where to put your hands, and then I will mostly get you two walking and talking and laughing at each other, because that is where the good frames live. Partners who insist they are bad at photos are my favorite clients. They are wrong, and I have twelve years of proof.


Bring the dog. Bring the toddler. Bring the grandmother who has been asking about this since week nine.

FAQ

When should I book?

Most clients shoot between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is clearly there and you are still comfortable walking around a park for an hour. Reach out earlier than that to hold a date, especially spring and fall.

How long is a session?

About an hour of shooting, plus a few minutes at the start to settle in and figure out where the light is.

What should I wear?

Solid colors and flowing fabric photograph best. Avoid busy patterns and logos.

Can my partner, kids, or dog come?

Yes to all three. Some of the best frames I have taken came from a two-year-old refusing to cooperate.

Where do we shoot?

Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Shoreline Park in Mountain View, the Arizona Cactus Garden at Stanford, and the coast around Capitola and Half Moon Bay. Open to other locations.

How many photos do I get, and when?

Every edited image from the session, no limits and no per-image upsells. Delivered through an online gallery.
